This Session is intended for Mentor Teachers who host our UWT Teacher Candidates in Field Experience. Topics for this session include an overview of the roles of the Teacher Candidate, Mentor, and Field Supervisor; an explanation of the Field Experience cycle; an in depth discussion with example of ways to work along side your candidate and give them meaningful, equitable, culturally responsive support and feedback. Finally there is time for the mentor to develop a plan for establishing expectations during the first few encounters with their UWT Teacher Candidate.
